The Charter Schools Development Corporation (CSDS) posted an opportunity on CapNexus to refinance a seasoned $1.7 million loan to Academy of Math and Science, an Arizona charter school.  An automated user alert attracted the attention of Kristy Ollendorff, Director of Commercial Lending and Chief Credit Officer, Clearinghouse CDFI.  She contacted CSDS and the loan closed three weeks later!  “CapNexus simplified the process of finding the right loan for our portfolio and also introduced us to a new partner in CSDC. We are now in regular contact with the great staff at CSDC to see how we can work together on future charter school transactions," said Kristy. For Clearinghouse, not only did this loan help them meet their geographic expansion objective into Arizona, but it also hit one of their lending sweet spots – charter schools. Laura Fiemann, Senior Vice President, CSDC, agreed that CapNexus had served a useful role.  “The CapNexus platform not only allowed CSDC to sell a loan to Clearinghouse CDFI and recycle capital to the next deserving client, it created a dialog between our organization and other lenders who have become interested in our loan program and mission,” said Laura.
